Just as a candle brightens the entire room, similarly the enlightened soul gives direction to the mind and body. Teachers occupy the role of "master" possessing a wealth of experience and light of knowledge that they attempt to pass on to their students. A student is enlightened by the teacher through the light of knowledge and further student passes it to others. Thus the process of enlightenment is on.
